Using Time Capsule with Time Machine.

Time Machine detects Time Capsule on the network. Setting it as your backup drive is a matter of a few clicks.

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu and then click Time Machine.
  2. Slide the switch to ON.
  3. Choose your Time Capsule and click “Use for Backup”.
  4. Give your Mac several hours or overnight to complete the initial backup.

  1. Connect your ADSL or cable modem to the Ethernet WAN port on your Time Capsule.
  2. Open AirPort Utility, select Time Capsule and click Continue.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your new network.

To print using Mac OS X v10.3 or 10.4

  1. Open Printer Setup Utility (located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder).
  2. Select the printer from the list.

To print using Mac OS X v10.5

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu and click Print & Fax.
  2. Click Add (+) and select your printer from the list.
  3. Click the Add button.
  1. Install Bonjour for Windows from the CD included with Time Capsule.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions for connecting your printer.
